The new Cam Editor can be used to display, create and edit FAST Motion cam and tappet tracks.
After adding the MotionObjects object to the device tree of the PLC Designer, the CAM Editor will be available in the project. The MotionObjects object has three subfolders:
After creating or editing cam and tappet tracks, the tracks will be archived in the ProfileData folder; cam tracks in the CamTracks subfolder and tappet tracks in the TappetTracks subfolder.
In the TrackGroups folder, cam and tappet tracks can be combined in track groups and edited together.
In the ProfileReference folder, references to cam tracks (CamRef) and tappet tracks (TappetRef) are created. These references represent the link between the application and the actual data. Via this mechanism, you can also use the PLC Designer to replace the cam and tappet tracks in the controller. With the monitor function of the Cam Editor, track processing can be monitored in the PLC Designer by entering the corresponding references.
