Digital Twin
On the way to Industry 4.0
?The development process for more powerful and flexible machines is becoming increasingly complex. We use the digital twin to create the conditions for continuous digital engineering for our customers. We support this for our own components as well as for the implementation on the OEM side. This means that, for example, solutions for condition monitoring, simulation or asset management can be implemented more efficiently.??
The digital twin maps physical components and machines and serves as a collection point for all relevant information. The concept is known as Asset Administration Shell (AAS) and as a basic technology is a real support in industrial automation. ????
- The relevant data for each asset is collected on the AAS, e.g. descriptions of the mechanical-electrical properties, documentation and certificates, software, behavioural description
- This information pool serves as the basis for the applications within the framework of Industry 4.0 and must therefore follow certain standards
- Consistent data use is made possible, among other things, by using the web-based planning tool for complete automation projects, the Lenze EASY System Designer
