Mains chokes
A mains choke is an inductance that is connected into the mains cable upstream of the drive.
The use in the plant has the following advantages:
- Reduced system perturbation The waveform of the mains current is smoothed and is thus more sinusoidal - this saves energy.
- Reduced effective mains current. In many cases, the use of a mains choke will reduce the cable load and fuse load.
Lenze offers you the optimally matched mains choke for every drive.
